Cowboy action shooting has become popular in the past few years. Usually matches involve a combination of pistol and shotgun shooting. The “six-shooters” used are replicas made by companies such as Uberti, and made to fire modern ammunition. Most commonly, .45LC and .38Spl are used. The side-by-side coach shotguns have also seen a resurgence due to the growing popularity of this type of shooting competition. Often, the goal is to knock over a target.
